GIRLS CLASS HIGHLIGHTS SPRINGBREAK BMX PARK CONTEST 2025

From Freedom BMX: Judges are often faced with the question: Quantity or quality, which is more important? Take, for example, the runs of Indy Krämer and Sahra Krey at the 2025 Springbreak BMX Contest in Wicked Woods.

While Indy rode the entire course and performed a trick on pretty much every obstacle, Sarah focused almost exclusively on bangers at the jump box and largely ignored the other ramps.

There’s no question that the 15-year-old was clearly ahead in terms of trick difficulty. Indy, on the other hand, earned more points in the evaluation criteria of height, landings, style, trick variety, and execution, and also used the course better than her competitor.

So which is more important? Difficult! In this case, the jury chose Sahra. Which isn’t wrong per se, but other judges might have reached a different conclusion. The evaluation of BMX tricks is and remains a subjective matter.
