The UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup returns to Japan!

The 2025 UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup calendar is slowly rolling out, and while doing some internet sleuthing, we spotted a new stopβ€”Sakai, Japan πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ happening November 27-30, 2025!

Now, we’re not sure if a brand-new park will be built for this event, but Sakai is already home to a custom-built indoor park designed by Hurricane Parks, introduced last year as a training ground for Japan’s top riders.

“Sakai is a great partner of Urban Sports. Hosting such a Park gives the Sakai youth the chance to move, to train, to enjoy and have a social life. Here skateboarders, roller freestyle riders, scooter freestyle riders and BMXers, amateurs, or world legends, can express themselves in the best way. This venue is unique in the world as until now, only around twenty professional riders have had the opportunity to ride the Park during the Games”, said Olivier Pascal, International Development Director at Hurricane Group. – fatbmx.com

We really hope this event is indoors because after experiencing Enoshima’s seaside weather, we’re not ready for another breezy, chilling, and unpredictable outdoor comp. πŸŒ¬οΈπŸ’¨. We’ll keep you updated as more information rolls out!
