You’re going to see Miharu Ozawa in the Olympics; I’m not sure when, but you will see her in the Olympics. Miharu is a warrior. At FISE Montpellier, Miharu had a REALLY BAD crash in run one, so bad that we were in shock when she got up in mere seconds. She shook her head as if it was just a light smack (it wasn’t) and still managed to secure a second-place run. Miharu is determined to win, and at just 14 years old, we can’t wait to see where this young lady goes.

Three people who inspire you and why?
- Nikita Ducarroz. I am a fan of hers and have been following her Instagram. When I first met her in Australia, I talked to her and she was very kind. After that, she invited me to her house in the U.S. and let me practice with her. That was a life-changing experience for me. I hope to become a rider like her.
- Toshio Takagi. He is someone who continues to make the Japanese BMX scene exciting. Ever since I was little, he has been practicing with me, teaching me tricks, and showing me the fun of BMX, and he always supports me and gives me advice. I get a lot of energy from his riding.
- Kaede Ozawa. He is my older brother and the one who inspired me to start BMX. I practice with him a lot and he gives me a lot of advice. He also supports me in competitions.
What do you do when you’re not riding? I often listen to music. I also have 4 younger sisters and a younger brother, so I really enjoy playing with them.
Favourite person to ride or train with? My friends riders that I always ride with.
Favourite shoes to ride in? Vans I always wear VANS BMX STYLE 114. Kevin Peraza’s model was the best! I hope Vans will release it again!

Your biggest fear? School tests! haha

Your worst habit? No good in the morning, that’s why I am not good at moving early in the morning.

What is a memorable experience you had that couldn’t have happened without BMX? To be able to stay at Nikita’s house, practice, and had a wonderful time.
Your top three future goals you want to achieve?
- To become a Red Bull rider.
- To build a big park where many riders can practice and have fun.
- To keep riding BMX and make lots of friends!
