Say hello to the future of Women’s BMX in the form of China’s Deng Ya Wen who just solidified a piece of BMX history by winning GOLD at the 2024 Paris Olympics. In second was USA’s Perris Benegas who rode so fast in the first run the cameras had a hard time keeping up, and then in her second run pressed the boost button to Silver. And in third, after a strong first run, Australia’s Natalya Diehm stayed firm with an 88.80 the entire time, taking her into a bronze medal— a sweet win for sure after the journey she’s had to Paris.

A huge shoutout to Matthieu Metivet from @theagency_photo, who delivered the majority of the quality photos you see circulating the internet. It’s not an easy job but he smashed it! @TheBloomBMX Instagram is also going to be down for a few days, unfortunately, someone posted a podium video (me) and the IOC has us restricted. Oops. We’ll be back online in a few days hopefully.
