The first stop of the 2024 UCI World Cup season was completed this past Saturday in Enoshima, Japan. Athletes had one day to ride with only 30 minutes of practice on the course. The qualification results soon became final as opportunities were cut short when a collective decision was made to cancel finals on Sunday due to the weather forecast. Athletes rode outdoors, in near-freezing temperatures, and were subjected to wind, rain and practically snow – Absolute warriors!
