- Leticia Bufoni for inspiring me to go much further than BMX
What is a trend in BMX you want to stop seeing? Honestly, I don’t really like to talk about these things, I know that women’s BMX has gone through a lot and continues to go through, and I thank everyone who has contributed to making it much more considerate, I think we are in a good moment and that we must keep fighting, and keep believing in us, I just prefer that there is no idealization.
How do you spend your days off your bike? It’s variable these days, I can be very relaxed, hanging with my friends, connecting with nature, working on my life projects and my physical and mental health.
Favourite person to ride or train with? I don’t have a specific one.
Favourite shoes to ride in? Vans Berle Pro and Skate Slip-on Pro
Best advice given to you? Focus on improving step by step, don’t forget about your mental health, do what really identifies you, be disciplined, train and eat well, and learn to take breaks, but above all, love yourself, love yourself and learn to receive love, and by this, I do not mean the love of a couple, but to be open to give and receive but be selective, connect with yourself.
Your biggest fear? Losing my essence.
Your proudest accomplishment? My discipline and strength to fight for my dreams.
Guilty pleasures? The sweets.
Your worst habit? Speaking softly.
If you could hire someone to help you in some sort of aspect of your life, what would it be? Manager and filmer maybe.
What is an amazing experience you had that couldn’t have happened without BMX? The experience of my life, of my being, I just appreciate having BMX in my life and giving me the experience of being able to create and continue to create the person I aspire to be, without thinking about what would have happened, because I like who I am and I will continue to enjoy it and I will continue learning.
Your top three future goals you want to achieve? Personally, I prefer to do it step by step than to talk about a goal that may not be a goal tomorrow, what I want is to be a better Gina Petrella every day and thus achieve all my life projects.
