DRB Bikes and Dream BMX welcomes their first female athlete, Brazilian BMX Freestyle rider, Derlayne Roque. “The female freestyle BMX scene in Brazil has been growing a lot and we are excited to be able to support it.” From Social Media Manger, Mikeila Pelayes.
Derlayne Roque, age 33, lives in Brasilia-DF, Brazil. In 2018, she reached the top, winning the first CN in Amparo, São Paulo. Then, in 2019, with the addition of BMX freestyle for the first time, she competed in the Pan American Games in Lima-Perú.
“I’m stoked to join to Dream BMX and DRB Bikes team. And not only for me, but also to know that the female bmx scene is gaining strength and recognition. The store and the brand are references in the national bmx scene and have been helping me take care of my bike for some time. Being officially the woman who represents the team means more inclusion and more equality in the sport. I love that bmx gives me a feeling of freedom and resilience, and I want other girls to be encouraged to feel that too. So, I’m so grateful to the Dream family for believing in my dream”
About DRB Bikes and Dream BMX:
Started in 2015, DRB Bikes came up with an idea with brothers, André Ribeiro and Marcelo Ribeiro – owners of Dream BMX Shop & Distro in Brazil (since 2007), and BMX riders for more than 20 years, where they acquired the knowledge and experience to produce quality parts, while keeping standards high and costs low and affordable for everyone. Beside DRB Bikes and Dream BMX we also run Dream Bike, a Tricycle Factory located in Brazil, this factory started in 1993, and gave us knowledge about materials, sizes, specs, to put into BMX now with DRB Bikes.
