“Students from Erindale College have created a mural of CanberranBMX world champion Caroline Buchanan ahead of International Women’s Day next week. Minister for Women Yvette Berry says the mural, located in the city on Tocumwal Lane and Petrie Plaza, is a way to celebrate one of Canberra’s best female role models.”Young artists have had a chance to meet and speak with Caroline, develop their skills as street artists and create a bright and bold piece of art that showcases female strength and empowerment,” Ms Berry said.
The team of seven students collaborated with local artist Bohie Palecek on the artwork as part of the ACT government’s street art program.” – ABC Canberra
