New RIDERS Android Update Lands Interactive Community for Extreme Sports
Social Community for Extreme Sports Expands Opportunities for Riders to Help Each Other Improve and Compete
St. Petersburg, Russia, August 1, 2014 — RIDERS, the social app for extreme sports, proudly announces its highly awaited Android update for extreme sports fans. They now can share their tricks with the global riders community, track activities by both the pros and their friends, and engage with potential sponsors.
RIDERS is a community that unites athletes who live by the mantra ‘extreme’. The application brings riders together, delivering access to the world’s largest BMX, skateboard, mountain bike, wakeboard, scooter, snowboard, longboard, inline skates and ski tricks database.
The database also contains detailed videos and step-by-step instructions from the pros on how to land the newest tricks and improve their own skills.
In the previous Android version, the RIDERS community could watch videos and track their own progress. This long-awaited update expands the interactive nature of the community. Now, amateur and professional riders can follow their peers from around the world, discuss tricks with them and teach each other. Riders can discuss their achievements, participate in the raitings, and leave comments.
With the launch in 2013, the RIDERS team filmed over 80 clips with professionals. Currently the video collection has accumulated to over 1,000 tricks and more than 100,000 videos uploaded by the RIDERS community.
“Our driving goal is to motivate people. We want to see them help each other and continuously improve. When we started riding, we soon realized that people needed a way to learn a new trick right on the spot. Previously we surfed the Web and forums, but this was wildly ineffective. Riders makes improving easy by giving you the largest database of tricks right in your pocket,” say Anatoly Chernyakov and Igor Debatur, RIDERS founders.
